This region is about the food and the local wine is Lambrusco. It is ok but the wine is secondary to the food.

Parma is a fantastic city with a great outdoor scene and people watching. The women are very chic and EVERYONE has a dog. It is basically an accessory. Highly recommend this region.

... We also purchased a wedge to bring home that was aged for 36 months. The best part is that I estimate it to weigh around 4 pounds but only cost 16 euro's or roughly $22. Just down in town here in Parma the same wedge would cost us 25 euro's.

Returning to the hotel the complimentary breakfast was still open so endulge we did. A quick nap (because we can) then back to the streets for a little shopping and a glass of wine and dinner.

Well today was another travel day. Checked out of Florence this morning and headed to Parma. It was really just a short train ride away.
