... font-size: 17px; line-height: normal;">I like their overtaking attitude....they just cross the double lines coming towards you as they overtake another car/truck/bus and trust to God that you will move over to avoid a head-on collision...and everyone does just that...smoothly, seamlessly, and with no angst or aggression....

... we had to wait another 50 minutes for a 7 minute trip. Fortunately the directions to our B & B were easy (but all up hill). ... Maria Annunziata. I fully expected one like the others but this church had limited pictures and frescoes. It was all about the statues and stone work decoration. It also was oval, rather than the usual long aisle or T shaped aisle and transept. Very simple but lovely. ... and produce. We keep trying to get over there but there is just so much great food to choose from! For lunch we randomly picked a restaurant, La Forchettta, and had a fabulous lunch. We shared 3 appetizers: an asparagus mousse sitting in a pool of Parmesan cream sauce, deep fried Parmesan puffs, and a plate with a variety of hams. Really delicious. ... Only 9 tables about 30 people but not full. We started with. 2005 glass of champagne, accompanied by a small bite of Paremsan waffle. A small sampling of a gazpacho (a little sweet for my taste and the least impressive part of the meal) came next. First course was a specialty of the region -anolini I (little pastas stuffed with meat and served in a chicken/beef broth). Clearly hand made, tender and absolutely delicious.
