    ... learned from past tours and applied them to each subsequent tour and also made changes along the way. I had hoped to do more point to point riding but carrying a rack with a panier full of gear as well as a backpack just made it too tough on the climbs. A hub and spoke system where you base yourself in one location is much easier. Having a rail pass and a rinko bag is ideal for this type of touring.

    ... have my breakfast. I definitely didn't have the legs of the day before but I wasn't sure how I'd feel on the way back. I even began to think about how long it might take if I had to walk up the second mountain on the way back if my legs quit on me.
