So for my Spring break, I stayed right around Wollongong mainly. But my vacation was "The Great Escape", a music festival held in Sydney's Olympic park. It was a three day long festival with over 130 artists! I went for all three days, and it was well worth it. I not only got to see so many good artists, but now I have a base of Aussie music, so I at least am familiar with some of them. I saved my schedule that they handed us as we walked in the gate, and I went through and ranked all of the ...

... a little more. The artwork was also interesting as we haven't really seen much due to the kids and my fear of them destroying something expensive. Our sight seeing continued when we went to the Australian National Museum. The kids enjoyed the cubby houses that you had to work out which state they were from by several clues. A lot of the rest, although well presented, was a lot that we had seen before. Bed was calling again... hope I get a restful sleep tonight.

Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia drownsroundaus... even more. we visited The hall of memory where the tomb of the unknown soldier is, the storys behind world war one and world war two. There is literally so much in this memorial museum that you need a least an entire day or parts of two days just to be able to take in the amount of history inside. After the war memorial we went to find some lunch and did some laps around parliment house and the embassys. again another full on day... stay tuned until tomorrow. Love you all renee!

Her ventede en ...
Canberra, Australia joergen... that Australia has been involved in, with memorabilia, archive film and photos plus many items of equipment such as a WW1 tank, a WW2 ex operational Lancaster bomber and a German M263 jet fighter being just a (very) small selection of the items on display. I ran out of time before I reached the modern warfare displays, but it was interesting for me to learn about the wars from Australia's perspective. I never knew that Sydney had ...
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia harryandnorah... here who just camp out in the courtyard all day long with a box of wine (called the Goon) and just booze it up. it's place we felt like staying for a while and not running around. After New Zealand, and our amazing road trip and our great exploration, we are ready for a little time to reflect personally and i definitely feel like we have slipped a little into the comfort of Us thing, and I'm not thinking for myself in a strong, decisive way. Easy to do when ...

Sydney, Australia lorraine11... but it was not so cheap, considering my experiences there. There are two parliament houses, old and new ones, and they are the only attraction I got interested in. The main purpose of the buildings is not tourism, so as a matter of course, they were not so fun. The city itself was also boring. It reminded me of the super-boring Japanese city, Tsukuba ...
