One day at the cost of another

... down, who said it was definitely worth the effort and were very cheery about how it was hard work.

The views just go better and better, it was amazing, just when you think blue lakes, blue skies and snow capped peaks can’t look any better they do.
At the summit, it was stunning, truly stunning! I was blown away, this was worth it even if I’m I’ll for the rest of the week it was worth it. I took a lot of pictures but ...

The South Island - Wanaka and Queenstown

... After having a walk around town and the obligatory visit to the visitor's centre, we did the first thing that you should do when in Queenstown...no, not a bungy jump....go to Fergburger! It's basically a burger joint, which only exists in Queenstown, famous for its huge tasty burgers. It would have been rude not to try one! It was very nice, and about the size of my outstretched hand, but I must admit, it did ...

Outside of the rainforest, it rains less

... all sorts of adventure sports and tours.

There are so many options that it is hard to know where to begin! For example, I have seen advertisements for no less than 5 Lord of the Rings tours, each of them claiming to be "the one tour to rule them all." This begs the question, "how can that be?" and "which one is the best for me?" and "should I do a tour in Queenstown or wait ...

New Zealand Part Two

... And boy did i pull up sore the next day, and not to mention falling on the same spot on my butt 4 times became pretty tender.

This didn't help the next day as Perci and Myself had a full day to the Milford sound. This was an amazing but long day, we caught the bus at 7:45 am and didn't get baack into Queenstown till 8:15 that night, but i was worth it. On the bus trip to the sound we stopped off at various lookouts to take photos. It's really beautiful scenery ...

Ridin' and Hobbitin'

... a favourite of the locals which the good old Rough Guide recommends and it hasn't got it wrong. I sit down to a latte and a sandwich (chicken and pesto) and grab a complimentary mens magazine and chill out. The sandwich is delicious. Though what is it with men's magazines - why is the choice limited to magazines for men who like tits and ass only (like Zoo and Nuts) or men who like tits and ass and cars which are out of their price bracket and ...

Queenstown - The Final Stop of a Wicked Journey...

... group was like one massive family with each person having their own specific role so it was hard to see everyone go. I've met some amazing people and had such a fantastic time in New Zealand. I would even go as far as saying I've fallen in love with the place. I'd hope to come back again and to anyone who is considering doing the Kiwi Experience Bus I'd absolutely recommend it. Its honestly been the best three weeks of my life. Enough said! Sweet as bro!

Milford Sound and Nevis Bungy jump

... over a gorge with a river below, mountains on all sides. A harness is attached to the body and even during the gondola ride you are attached. Once inside the suspension pod, or whatever the heck you call it, you get more harnesses around your ankles. It was nice to see other people go before me. There was a clear portion of the floor and watching someone jump and seeing how far below they end up is nothing short of madness. It's so far down that it seems they fall forever ...

Canyon Swing

Brad went to the canyon swing today. The Canyon Swing is over the Shotover River. It is a 200 meter arc (150 kilometers per hour). It was a lot different than a bungy jump, which Brad did in Mexico. They have a bunch of options for how you can drop into the swing. They guys working there do a great job of playing up the fear. They "pretend" to be incompetent. Brad walked to the edge and they grabbed me as if they had forgotten to clip ...

Day 108 - Wanaka to Queenstown
