We were advised that a visit to Hanmer springs Thermal pools would knock 10 years off us. Eager to know what it felt like to be 22 again and care free, I was up for that. Hanmer springs town is an Alpine village 90 minutes from Christchurch and through rocky mountains and lush forests. It is nestled in the magnificent south Islands high country. Woke up at 6.20am for breakfast at 7am (awesome pancakes!!!) Boarded the bus at 7:45am.
