... my room has a pot that I can use to heat water, so I filled it to the rim' then took a warm sponge bath. Way better than an ice cold shower! At 9:30 am this morning, I was met at my hotel, the Dream Hotel, by the young 19 year old woman, Garmaa, who will be my companion for the next 35 days. Her English is passable, and my Mongolian is non-existent. As it looks like very few Mongolians speak even greetings in English - quite a bit different than in Thailand ...

... a tent, a sleeping bag, boxes, packages, and much, much more all eventually made its way out of the car and into my house.

And, oh, how glorious to step into my house again! Yes, there is still much to do and much to put away and organize... But how lovely my little plants have gotten in my absence! How the little blue plates that line the wall still make me smile! How happy Bella is to see me again! How pleased I am to be sitting at my own kitchen table!

... and crowd was building as settled in for the match. It was just how you imagine a baseball game to be, a marching band playing the National Anthem, kids, Mums and Dads all in their team colours and concession vendors selling everything from iced tea to candy floss.

The game got underway and I was amazed at how quickly the pitcher threw the ball - well over 90mph - and within minutes ...
