... Country Pub of the Year competition. We chatted to a couple of interesting chaps at the bar who were covered in tattoos. Saturday we have a start and end point but no specific places we simply must see. It's only a little over an hour to Allendale Town our next stop. First we go to Penrith Castle. We went to Durham which is a lovely town with a lot of activity around the historic centre. We wandered up and down the uneven streets of old Durham town which has many old old buildings.
After a late lunch we decided to leave Old Durham Town. Reminds me of a Roger Whittaker song.
