    ... the boat, jumped off the rails into the water and explored villages and beaches that we pulled into. We went to a little island with ancient ruins 2000 years old. We swam at our first beach that had sand - usually they only have rocks. We weren't allowed to walk or put our towels on the sand because it was so precious!     ... is sensational. Each meal consists of several dishes of traditionally prepared vegetables and salad and fish or meat. Of course we eat way too much - 4 meals a day! Will have to have doorways widened on our return. Our cabins are very cute and comfortable, but as the air conditioning can only be accessed while generator is on, they are often too hot to sleep in. As a result we sometimes sleep ...

    ... assume that these were from Syrians who had landed on the island. Later at Kokkali we found an inflatable vessel for perhaps 20 people. The pile of life jackets on top seemed to be about this number maybe more. At least this boat load made it safely to land.
