We've arrived in Denmark and making our way across to Copenhagen. At least we're back to driving in kilometres and driving on the right side of the road for a left hand drive car. I can relax now that I'm no longer in the target seat. Was great to catch up, soak up some rays and give the boys time ...

Our first destination for the day was the Ribe Viking Center. Along the way we saw more thatched roof houses (not uncommon), windmills (many) and an interesting country church. The Ribe Viking Centre is a reconstruction of a Viking town. The Vikings were both agrarian as well as plunderers and pillagers. They would spend part of the year living in villages and the balance at sea visiting other areas and countries to gather what ...

... impressed with the way these cities close off the busy parts of the town to motorised traffic, just allowing pedestrians and market stalls. Lucky for us Pernille is coming to pick us up in her car, so that saves the worry of trying to find transport to Kolding where she lives. At the appointed hour she arrives and we are so pleased to see her again - It has been four years but only seems like yesterday as we quickly catch up on what has been happening in our lives since last time ...
