    ... soft stone has not been washed away, but in dry rivulets, it seems the paint of the various layers has been mixed together. What we see is mountains and hills with clear bright rock strata of yellow, green, red, white and orange colors. The colors are almost unreal. Buses transport us between four locations in the park.     ... atmosphere. Lou agreed the tempo of the group was plunged post-Xian. Both three night stays have KTV options.

    Petulant was drunk [no surprise]. She asked if we could spend the last night together, a quick 'no' following. She asked that she not be forgotten about trip's end. I suggested she need not worry [not adding it won't be for positive reasons]. The camp fire music was too slow. Around 2200 I called it a night.

    ... charging 40 yuan for entrance. The ticket allowed us to see four different viewing platforms which were connected by complimentary buses. The first platform was amusingly the worst, with the rocks only faintly coloured - leading us to think that the amazing photos that we had seen online had been heavily doctored. Luckily the other viewpoints were far, far more impressive and I have to say that it is one of the most unique natural landscapes ...

    Ok so today started withe the obligatory translation of ticket request translation. I informed mum last night in no uncertain terms that she is never allowed to ***** about my. I pad or phone being permanently attached to me as they have been a Goddess send in the wopwops where they speak a dialect that sounds like a mixture between Dutch, Arabic and Mongolian. The language sounds nothing like Mandarin AT ALL ;-(

    Have organised a trip to the Rainbow Mountains for tomorrow which I am soooo excited about. It is one of two of the places I desperately wanted to visit in China!!!!
