... off a fake as the real deal. While China has consumer protection laws somewhat similar to home, like most everything else here it's either not enforced or corrupt. To get the real deal a lot of Chinese venture further abroad to Singapore just to be sure.

A tad of advice should you seek some retail therapy here: rule number one of shopping in China- buyer beware, rule number two- you get what you pay for!

... the gang of foreign teachers would go to a mall close by and just walk around to both kill time and stretch the legs. But one of my favorite places to go would be this message chair store where you can get a free 15 minute free trial in a chair that would be fit for a NASA spacecraft. Needless to say, me, and some of the boys have made the trip quite often and can now fully operate the chair using a remote written only in Chinese. ... People were staring at us, but trying not to. We were back at the airport in an hour.

We picked up our luggage at the Pullman; checked in for our Bali bound flight and found a “First Class Lounge” (Our Priority Pass membership gives us free access to airport lounges)

... at school from 2-6pm, so we met up after that & headed into the city for the evening Pearl River cruise.

It was really great - we got tickets for the top deck, and had a perfect view the whole time. The trip lasted a little under an hour, and they held the boat for us so that we didn't have to wait for the next one.
