Guangzhou is a truly ginormous city – the 6th largest in the world with a population of just under 14 million. The density of the apartment living is quite astounding and we feel like we are in the REAL madness of China now. The only cities in China bigger than this are Beijing and Shanghai at 24,000,000 and 21,000,000 respectively. To round out ‘Chinese

After weighing up our options we went for the potential pickpocketing on the train. This proved to be a wise choice as we were at our station in about 40mins and it cost a little over a dollar each. Despite making it to our station with ease we soon found out the walk to our hotel was slightly more challenging. It was still close to 40 degrees and with ridiculously ...

... The big shopping area was very close. But, you never would have known it if you walked around the local streets. It just all of a sudden smacks you in the face! We all got a few things there. We could have walked around all day and spent all of our money if we really wanted to. Currently, we are repacking our suitcases and getting ready to leave tomorrow. We are going to Lucy's tonight for dinner where we will have a great American style dinner. ...
