Well it was a short two nights in Rome but super fantastic! We got there around 2 in the afternoon on the 17th! We had some pasta and veggies and I FaceTimed with the boy on his birthday! Hard to believe how quickly the past four days have gone! Our time in Pisa was so lovely and I am definitely going to miss it! We arrived in Pisa on Thursday afternoon, and after a quick walk we made it to our hostel! Apparently somewhere in our planning, we managed to forget to book our room for the night of February 13th. Climbed up inside the Leaning Tower of Pisa today - all the way to the top in the belfry. Florence has been beautiful this far! Shops line the streets, gelato is unreal and I went to mass in the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in the piazza just down from where we are staying. ... me a stylish Italian hairdo. From there we made our way to the river in the center of town and stopped for coffee and cake. We had booked to go up the Leaning Tower of Pisa at 4.45pm so we kept wandering and found somewhere for Gelato where I found a massive sundae with all my favourites, Stracciatella and chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce and banana.
