... relaxed & looked around at the beautiful scenery. The main reason we stopped at Stavanger, was to do the hike to Pulpit Rock nearby. At Stavanger itself we found a bonus in the form of 3 stone swords partly plunged into a rock platform at the waters edge. As I related in yesterday's missive, after the jiggery pokery at 02:00, I was able to get back to sleep and it wasn’t until after eight that we were up and about. One of the peculiarities of this harbour is that they lock the showers and toilets when the harbour staff go home and this, before the main season starts is at 18:00 and unlocking again at 11:00 the next day. ... Hollen and just walked on the boardwalk, walked on the beach and sat in the sun watching the sun glistening on the sea. It all looked very much like the Norway we'd seen and read about before we got here, with the painted red, white and yellow houses, that's different houses painted the different colours! Not each house painted up like a piece of battenburg. Had a bit more of a drive around and then, em, called at the supermarket on the home.
