... m happy to say we are on target! Although we're all a bit tired and weary.

Because of the heat, a typical cycling day tends to run like this: cycle a couple of hours in the morning, completing 20-25km depending on the terrain, stop for 2 hours for lunch & swim. Cycle again from 2-4pm, another 20 km, stop for ice-cream :) , cycle from 6pm till our kms are complete for the day. We walked along the harbor with its many boat docks and the Christiansholm Fortress. The Old Town is composed of several blocks of timber-clad low rise houses, all painted white. ... up a huge bill. The place recommended was actually a food stand with a line, we found it by accident but were already full.

We’d read in "Lonely Planet …"this is one of the most beautiful counties on earth”. We also read in another place that the coast route is “breathtakingly beautiful”. These are understatements. Photos cannot capture the wonderful sights around every corner.

... Islands ... and another very pretty, old Norwegian town, open, cobbled pedestrian places everywhere. We walked at length to the harbourside part, saw sand sculptures that amazed...[we have so many beautiful pictures to share with you, but that is not possible]...lots of wharf areas with cafes,and sooo many hanging baskets, so well cared for and flourishing,a whole bridge lined on both sides..Flowers ...
