    ... a villa here for 6 months and coming every weekend. They ran a heating company and probably not your average Rumanian but good fun. The told us they had recently been playing golf in Sicily and had had their valuables stolen from their bags while playing golf....by Rumanians!     Queen Marie was a grand daughter of Queen Victoria and the wife of King Ferdinand of Romania and she built herself a small summer house with just 3 bedrooms in Balchik overlooking the Black Sea where she could be alone with her daughters.     The scenery was again lovely with extensive mixed deciduous woods and empty as far as the eye could see, no picnic places, tracks or anything. The only people we saw were attractive scantily clad girls in pairs in random pull ins along the way.
