      ... were also some ruins there from the 1300's which was pretty cool in the snow. Once we had walked around there we could see what looked like a castle in the distance so we decided to try and find it.

      ... there are lots of shops and cafes along the waterfront which look like they will be nice when they are open. Boxing day here there are no sales - everything is still closed. We had a walk around anyway and went up a lookout which was about 10 floors high of just stairs and then a platform on top to look over the lake. It swayed in the wind a bit which was pretty freaky!       ... Allmendingen to begin my reality! My final adventure for the festive season was celebrating New Year at our friend Sebastian's house in Ulm, about half an hour from Allmendingen.       ... We had forgotten how much stuff we had sent over, and it was like Christmas come early unwrapped all of the boxes.
