    Blue ridge parkway in the smoky mountains. Rode a stretch that was so narrow and as tight as anything on the dragon. Kent started the day with his shirt on backwards! Ha!! Cool up in the mountains , had to pull out a jacket! Great day! Heading out tomorrow back to Kentucky starting ...

    ... nice and we greatly appreciate them letting us stay in their cabin.

    My favorite part of Gatlinburg was being have to have breakfast with Phil and Cam... Brian and I worked with them in Alaska and haven't seen them in 4 years!

    The day was long but the company and scenery was great!

    ... green, reminds us of Germany.

    In the afternoon we finally get into the quiet and peacefully remote place that we desired: ahhhh, like heaven on earth after all the cities and traffic. We look forward staying on the Meadow Creek Mountain Ranch in eastern Tennessee for the next 4 nights.

    ... We got in great rides everyday even if we didn't get everything done we wanted too. Our rental house is great, the food was great (mostly) and the rides were great. The Cherohala Skyway was probably one of the most fun, the Dragon was intense, the Rattler was a bit less impressive than the hype, and the loop through the GSMNP was nice. Gatlinburg is definitely not a good city to visit on the bikes but everywhere else we stopped was good. The maps from America Rides Maps were top ...

    ... back. I said why don't we go back to the hotel we saw at the bottom of the hill and ask for help at reception, see if they know where this resort was. So off we went, we got to the hotel and parked the car, walked up to the door and knocked on the reception, no answer. We opened the door and walked in. No noise, no one to be seen. We used the phone inside and it was internal only. Security room with no one inside. It was like the movie The Shining or some haunted hotel with ...
