And that's it - it's taken a few years to get here but in an hour we'll be setting off for Heathrow ready to begin.

Packing finished late last night - a lot of people asked how we would possibly pack for 15 months and the answer is that I don't know how we did it but we managed to shove everything into 2 reasonable sized bags and it weighs a total of 24kg, so not too ...

Big thanks to the Tesco truck driver who drove his van under the tunnel to get into Heathrow terminals 1-3 this afternoon, meaning that not only did we stuck on the Heathrow spur for an hour, but because the catering trucks can't get through, it means our flight is going to be delayed! Wouldn't be so bad but they didn't tell us before we went into the departure lounge, so I'm stone cold sober!! Ahh well, next stop Hong ...
