... t Chinese) he tried to get us to pay more by saying things like "It's all fresh this morning" "went to supermarket this morning". This we were prepared to put up with but he was exceptionally rude to Kenneth (our Chinese friend) who of course could understand what he was saying so we stormed off (only to buy snacks from the same place which charged us even more as we deprived him of potential dinner money).

... was great. He arranged the tickets for visiting Tianmen and then gave us a map with his suggested route. Tianmen Mountain's fame comes from the huge natural hole used as a prop for daredevils in wing suits and prop planes to fly through (it's also one hell of an overhang for climbers). After a 10 minute walk toward city center we arrived at the cable car station. A Swiss made two section cable car departs from here. It then crosses some small hills ...

... If they have no fare they will toot the horn to get your attention. So we were checking out which ones were just cruising around to get any fare (and wasting their petrol!) and which ones were regularly working! We decided to wander back along the other side of the river this time and saw a couple of stone masons amongst some flat stones that we realised were head stones, just on the side of the road. Lots of three wheel cars, trucks and converted motorbikes passing ...
