... moon both appear red even when high in the sky. You may have observed this redness as the sun set in the evening through the lower atmosphere. It was happening with us at mid-day.

We are camping tonight at Lake Manawa State Park, It is an electric only site so we will have to conserve water for our 3 night 2 day stay. The park is on an oxbow of the Missouri River that closed off in the 1800’s to form a beautiful horseshoe shaped lake.
