    We stayed up late last night sitting by the window of our hotel room and watching Niagara Falls lit in multiple and changing colors. It is mesmerizing to watch the water, the mist and the lights. Even this morning, in the rain, the view was just amazing. But we had to get on our way.

    ... dinner ready the kids played in the field and the park burning off some energy and getting the wiggles out as we call it. We roasted some wieners and then I broke the rules and took the kids to the park after dark for a few extra slides. Then off to bed as we plan to be up and at it early again tomorrow.     ... they gave the usual spiel, mainly emphasizing not to stand in the river. The only reason not to stand, and a very good one, is that the river is pushing down stream at a rapid rate. As your feet hit the rocks on the bottom, your foot can get caught between the rocks. While this may not be a problem, say, in Florida, here, the river will then push you under and, well, you are stuck. Remembering this, we embarked on our latest adventure. ...

    ... on an area no larger than 5-10 square feet. The rock ended up in this position when the glaciers that once covered this area melted and left this for us to see. It was unfortunate that this cool natural feature has been vandalized by ignorant people spray painting various things on the rock face.
    All the same, it was a neat thing to see. Tomorrow, we are off to learn to kayak rapids in the Deerfield ...
