... Mark lost his Colorado hat (that he had somehow held on to the whole year) in the Corpus Christi airport. But the day wasn't all bad. Our long layover in Dallas meant that we had time to scarf down Qdoba burritos (Chipotle has to wait until Colorado). ... where he could play in the sand. It was very crowded so I suggested that we return to the campground and go to the beach area where it hopefully would be less crowded, so I called Bob to pick us up and we started walking to the rendezvous area. We walked on one of the boardwalks which led to a hotel area. As we walked to the entrance road, I spotted a security guard and asked him the way out to the road. All he was interested ...

sand fest was going on the weekend that we arrived. our campsite was a couple of blocks from the beach so we were able to walk to sand fest for the three days. we got to see the progress of the sand sculptures. good music (kinda), fun food, sand, beach, happy people:.what's there not to like. well maybe the crowd, but we have found on this trip that most of the "good places" are crowded, but if you are not driving around in a car, it's not as bad. walking, biking is ...
