Welcome to vrrrmont, it's like brr... but with a v. Vrrrmont. First stop Ben and Jerry's factory in Waterbury! Second... Magic hat brewery in Burlington. It wasn't open for tours on Wednesdays so we just gave ourself a self tour and sampled some beers. Kodi's cousin met us and took us around Church Street in downtown butlington. Since we didn't ...

... the next tour. Info given by tour guide was overwhelming, but we understood his clapping of hands to hurry us up!! Lowering the flag at 5 pm with taps sent chills down our spine. A quick stop at Walmart was needed, but we were always in the wrong lane. Sis Terry text messaged me and wondered why we were going in circles!!! She follows us on Apple's Find a Friends app! Eventually we got back to camp in the dark, but ...

It’s clean at least and we are in room 2 at the top of the stairs from the lobby so that is ...

... until we called in Michael's (true) and Steph treated herself to a new fabric cutter. Route 7 took us out of Rutland, northwards towards Burlington alongside Lake Champlain. It's a slow route, 55mph max, but littered with beautiful "leaf peeping" opportunities. We are now becoming quite blasť about leaf colour (color!). Brandon was a soup stop and then upwards to the Shelburne Museum, one of the nation's finest museums according to ...

After staying in some dirty, smelly motels along our route so far we checked AirBnB to see if there was anything a little nicer in the Adirondacks for some time away from Interstate roads. We were heading towards Point O Pines, Rachael's camp that I had heard so much about for the past 4 years, and then deeper into the Adirondack state ...
