I guess old habits die hard. I haven't been in school for 2 academic years yet I still like to take a "break" in March. Lesley, Larissa and I spent 2 days in Burlington Vt. at the Green Mountain Suites. A little shopping and loads of laughs with a bit of wine added made for an enjoyable time.

Ausable Chasm was worth the stop...and provided a scenic hike. Colorful trees amidst interesting layers of rock were amazing! Staying at Black Bear Camping in NY for 3 nights allowed us to explore the area. Even tho we missed our scheduled West Point tour......got ...

... for the job. Lin again lent us her car and navigator so this time we headed up to Barre for lunch (Jesse knows the lunch spots with internet access!) and then to Ben and Jerry's Ice cream factory. Ben and Jerry's is a famous Vermont tourist attraction. Ben and Jerry started their ice cream factory in the mid 60s. They are committed to ethical ways of doing business ...

... Notch was fast and we should have stopped at more pullouts because we had a break in the weather and now its supposed to rain all day tomorrow so I doubt we will get another shot but it was a lovely drive up at least. We arrived at 3 and there is nothing to do here so at the suggestion of the Inn Keeper we took a drive first up past the River into Cambridge where I saw a cool steeple and then back down the 108 a bit where there ...
