      ... we saw our first rattlesnake ever! Up close and personal. In the middle of the fairway was a grassy mound, my ball landed to the left of the mound in the fairway, Bill was on the right side of the fairway, so he just walked over to his ball. When I came up to may ball, whoa, I saw this big, long rattlesnake sprawled out in the fairway. I parked the cart between us and hit my ball. I called Bill over and he said that he wasn’t coming anywhere near me -- LOL. ...

      After a brief time, we continued on our way to the main area. This is where the professionals were working. I was kind of disappointed since they all were still sculpting.       sand fest was going on the weekend that we arrived. our campsite was a couple of blocks from the beach so we were able to walk to sand fest for the three days. we got to see the progress of the sand sculptures. good music (kinda), fun food, sand, beach, happy people:.what's there not to like. well maybe the crowd, but we have found on this trip that most of the "good places" are crowded, but if you are not driving around in a car, it's not as bad. walking, biking is ...
