    ... Later we again heard about more policies and program specifics. Overall, the whole orientation really made me feel ready to embark on the program, or at least more ready. It was incredibly inspiring and I now know of several jobs that I want. It was really inspiring to think of the potential of this fabulous program and what I can really glean from it. With that being said, I have never felt more intimidated in my life...CLS is an extremely high caliber, ...

    ... and dropping our bags off at the Savoy (very nice place and just around the corner from the Vice President's house) we did a recce for brunch and then negotiated the local bus line followed by the Metro subway out to Arlington Cemetery. Very sobering place - the gravestones seem to stretch into eternity. We watched the soldier guarding the unmarked soldier's grave and also the change of the guard - such focus and precision.     ... there wouldn’t be a chance of sprawling out in a spare seat, so I slept sitting up, not comfortable, but I managed a couple of hours, but the A/C was freezing

    We landed at Sao Paulo airport for a change of shift, clean the windscreen and fill up on juice that lasted and hour then the few that were going o trooped aboard; there was about 20 left so we all had a choice of seats for the 30 minute flight

    ... check, we headed to get iMax Theater tickets for two shows: "The Ultimate Wave - Tahiti" and "Flying Monsters." Both, excellent 3-D productions. After getting a drink, we headed to Sandy's favorite...The Hope Diamond! Beautiful. Some of the other exhibits we enjoyed were: Oceans, Human Origins, Written in Bone, Early Life, Egyptian Mummies, Mammals, Gems and Minerals and I am sure others that I cannot remember.
