    ... top, until you get to the foot of the steps that it's a tribute known as the Kokoda Trail. This dates back to the Second World War where soldiers in Papua New Guinae would have to walk a similar track each day to their posts in an attempt to defend from the Japanese. There is a nice memorial and information centre at the foot of the hill but it certainly was too busy too be parking there!     ... We'd spent a lot of time doing our own thing over the course of the week which is unusual and that continued in to the weekend.
