... you could have seen the four of us sitting in her dining room, getting our hair cut! But, the most important part of our visit, one that we all craved, was being surrounded by people who cared about us. Those who knew Oakville, who knew Canada, and those who knew what it was like to be away from friends and family. So, thank you to the Tonkens. We wish them all the best when they return home for the holidays.

We hope that you are all well.

Such a good day though complete with a win at the races and sore feet from heels! Wednesday morning headache from bubbles! Eventually dragged myself out of bed with a bottle of water. We went to a shopping centre to have a look round, but gave up and had to go back for a snooze, bloody champagne! Haha Went back into town ...

... idea. After our long walk back we headed back to the dreaded hostel and yet again walked in on the Germans getting a little frisky! I am disliking this place more and more. They don't move out of bed all day so we can't relax in the room as they are always giggling under the covers, if we go down to the communal bit it's full of homeless looking people being really loud and coughing and spluttering everywhere, there's no where to just sit and chill out. We sat had tea and ...

... end, and through the artifacts and explanations, it was really brought home to you how barbaric it all really was. I felt quite sick at the whole thing. Still it's definitely worth visiting.

Following that I needed some light entertainment, which Alan duly provided. He took me over to Queen Victoria Market. On Wednesdays the market did things a little differently. On Wednesday evenings, there was live music, and lots of cosmopolitan food to be had. You ...
