Started with meeting I&J at the Sears building so after we walked over to Grant/Millennium parks for general loveliness and much sculpture -some good ( The bean -though I'm not much for A Kapoor it is big fun for all -quirky photos guaranteed ) then hanging out in the water fountain , sadly video behind curtains of water not working. Decided to give art institute and boat trip a miss today ... But went to the unremarkable and bit tacky ( not in a good way) ...

Thursday 29th August We were up by 5am and in the smoke filled air from Reno to Chicago by 7 30. Victoria came to the airport with us as she was flying to Las Vegas to join Ron for a wedding.
