Today we spend the time in Phnom Penh. We left the boat early at 815 so we could avoid the worst of the traffic. It still took an hour to go about 15 kilometres. Traffic is chaotic in Phnom Penh. ... we headed back to the hostel to get more painkillers and wash ourselves up before going out for a drink prior to dinner. ... Air Asia flight to Phnom Penh. We nearly managed to check in using the “Self Check In” machines, ending up having to go to a desk anyway as it had only registered one piece of hold luggage instead of two. Once through security we found some excellent seats over looking the tarmac where Phil in particular enjoyed watching the planes, mostly Air Asia, arriving and departing.

... it got dark, we started to make our way back towards the hotel as we had already decided to eat at a restaurant across the road. When we arrived, we noticed that happy hour was still on. I say happy hour, but it is actually 4.5 hours of reduced drinks, we made the most of it with smoothies at $2 and the beer at $0.75 for a glass that was about 2/3 of a pint.
