Bullets where considered to expensive so usually hammers, hoes, bamboo sticks or any other blunt object was used to bludgeon the victims to death, which is evidence in the damage and fractures caused to bones and skulls that were found.

Oudong was the former royal capital of Cambodia fro 1618 - 1866. The capital kept having to move as Cambodia was continually being invaded. Here we visited the biggest Buddhist Monastery in Cambodia, a 25 minute bus trip from our boat. This is a new, large temple that serves as a Buddhist study centre. Day 40 - Wed 7th JanAn early morning start to catch our public transport bus to take us from Saigon to Phnom Penh. At least it picked us up at the hotel on it's way to the bus terminal to pick up other passengers. We think Heathrow can be bad but the boarder crossings here ...

... Finally being thrown into graves.
To this day, when you walk, you are walking on bones and rags from their clothing. The floods uncover more every year and I guess with 3 million buried, it will be a long time before this stops.
The skulls are on show as are their teeth. The skulls show how they were killed, with an instrument or a gun or a knife.
