Yesterday we had driven for several hours from Quebec City to Mont Tremblant. We were greeted on arrival by a cheerful Swiss man and a couple of Raccoons. The Swiss guy asked where we were from, and not only had he heard of Eastbourne he knew it well, having travelled the Dieppe to Newhaven ferry on several occasions travelling to the UK from Switzerland. Final transition and she was looking good. She had a pretty good run but does prefer the full marathon. Her final place was 19 out of 138 for her age group. Her final time was 4.56 hours just 20 minutes behind the winner of her age group. Overall in the half marathon she ran the third best time in her age group.

She has pulled up pretty well and is pretty excited about competing in the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona in a few weeks ...
