... seeing the elusive bear was a highlight for us and for them as well as you can see, we proceeded to Mont Tremblant a paradise in the mountains for skiers and an attractive place for us to visit. We rode the gondolier and walked around the area, then went up to the Altitude Restaurant at the casino on top of another mountain for an enjoyable included ...

Final transition and she was looking good. She had a pretty good run but does prefer the full marathon. Her final place was 19 out of 138 for her age group. Her final time was 4.56 hours just 20 minutes behind the winner of her age group. Overall in the half marathon she ran the third best time in her age group.

She has pulled up pretty well and is pretty excited about competing in the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona in a few weeks ...

... as I am looking at the entrance and he has already gone through ( he tells me later) . I head back to the room for a bit and then back to the race action. The pros are coming in to transition so I head for the VIP stand and end up sitting behind the commentator ... Have a selfie with them and head off with Ty and Justine to try and catch the bike action. We see Royce whizz by , we yell with all our might bout I don't think he saw us again ! ...

Tension is building. Big day tomorrow!

... worth a couple of millions dollars at this stage. I will try to remember to put up on the blog an empty shot, half full shot and a full shot. It is pretty amazing to see the difference.

We then headed to Smoke's Poutinerie Tremblant for Poutine for lunch. This is a typical Canadian ski resort dish consisting of fries, cheese curds and gravy. Noel and I went for the basic but David had the Poutine bacon burger which had the same as ours plus bacon, mince meat ...

Well... It's overcast and a little rainy which is a nice change from the heat of yesterday. Race day is meant to be fine . Amazingly magic afternoon evening complete with VIP banquet dinner , meeting new Canadian and American friends, great entertainment , team OZ photo, VIP viewing of stage area, U2 cover band , free drinks, fireworks and a deer sighting on the way back to the hotel ! Oh ... And the first song the band played at dinner ... Somewhere over ...
