... and then some sightseeing tomorrow...Hoping you all in the States are having a good Monday; it's already almost over here Munich (this week we are 8 hours ahead of west coast time, 5 hours ahead east coast time; Germany sets the clocks ahead next Sunday so we get to do Daylight Savings Time (called Summer Time here) all over again-then we are 9 hours ahead Pacific Time)

We went to Dachau on Friday. I was here last when I was 12, remember very little of our visit in 1972. Dachau is a surprisingly cute town 20 minutes outside of Munich. Birkenstocks and Beer Steins

Bavarian Adventures
... woke to dreary, rainy weather and went to a beer tent where a Catholic service was being held. We all enjoyed a mas of bier (oder Radler, in my case), and freshly cooked himmel, which Tony especially admired. There were Bavarian dancers, and everyone wore traditional costumes. Then, we headed to Murnau to visit a school friend of Brigitte’s. This town is so perfectly Bavarian. We marched to a nearby lake, and they hosted us for kuchen und kaffee. ...
