... really soon after I sat on the bike. Despite daylight should have been still "on", the dark clouds turned the day into night. That's not what you want, the fact I did not have light, made me a bit nervous. Arriving back in Bern, wet as wet can be, I stomped my shoes with newspaper to dry, took a shower and as mentioned, woke up when the "Skype " rang.
Now, I am back from shopping: A good raincoat, obviously I can't ...

... piling up along its roads?? I have been to Luxembourg City 3 times now and every time it's nothing but traffic jam after traffic jam. I was hoping to go and get a few photos of the historic city before I headed this morning but with traffic like that there is no ways I was going back into that city.

Breakfast finished it was time to dress up for the long wet journey ahead. For sure my big one piece rainsuit was going to pay for itself today.

morning, four of us would take a train ride to Bern, the Capitol of the
country.

We boarded
in Langenthal and made the easy 30 minute trip to Bern. The train station in Bern resembles a
shopping mall, with numerous stores and restaurants on several levels. We emerged into the sunlight and 60 degrees on
the main street in downtown Bern, only to find it under construction and fenced
off. ...

... in a Glacier Museum, and had a beer beside the oldest bridge in Europe - Kapellbruke Bridge. It was one of the best days of the visit.

Well fed, and rested we are now prepared for the last parts of our journey in Paris and London - due to a few Eurail complications we were unable to make it to Barcelona, but this just meant we were able to spend more time with the Family and in lovely Paris.

... the nice Bernese accent. This and the picturesque old town gives the city a very unique vibe which we wanted to explore.

Our first stop was at the Zytglogge (Clock) Tower. This 800 year old watch and former prison tower has a astronomical clock. As it was near the full hour we and about a hundred other tourists gathered around the tower and waited for the hourly show the mechanical figures moving to the strike ...
