... really soon after I sat on the bike. Despite daylight should have been still "on", the dark clouds turned the day into night. That's not what you want, the fact I did not have light, made me a bit nervous. Arriving back in Bern, wet as wet can be, I stomped my shoes with newspaper to dry, took a shower and as mentioned, woke up when the "Skype " rang.
Now, I am back from shopping: A good raincoat, obviously I can't ...
... like..ham, pineapple, onion etc.. then put it in the machine/grill and wait for it all to melt them once its done you put it on your chopped up potato. Was really really good!! You can see why its a winter dish, got so hot sittiing around it after awhile (would be amazing for camping) and I even burnt my arm on it so i'll never forget it haha. We had a few nice white wines with dinner and enjoyed the company :)
went to bed super full! ...
... in a Glacier Museum, and had a beer beside the oldest bridge in Europe - Kapellbruke Bridge. It was one of the best days of the visit.
Well fed, and rested we are now prepared for the last parts of our journey in Paris and London - due to a few Eurail complications we were unable to make it to Barcelona, but this just meant we were able to spend more time with the Family and in lovely Paris.

The train ride up through Switzerland was fantastic, just really glad we took it during the day cos even with the cloudiness the views were amazing. Lakes with towns scattered around, castles overlooking the mountainside, streams running down their little paths across the plains. Just wish the damned train glass windows didn’t ruin ...
... day we ascended the Jungfraujoch. This involved an amazing train trip to the top of the summit (over 3500 metres). This train line was celebrating its 100 year anniversary. Jo and I lamented the fact that we still cannot realistically hope to get a rail link to Melbourne airport within our lifetime.
Words cannot describe the scenery at the summit (luckily we took photos) but it was extraordinary to be on snow-capped mountains at the start of summer while we sucked in ...
