After pulling into the Europcar return lot at 2:29 p.m. at Larnaca International Airport, Mom and I checked in with Lufthansa for the 4:20 p.m. departure to Munich. Check-in was completed at 2:52. We were told to stand by at the check-in counter until 3:30 to find out whether we would receive boarding passes because the flight was pretty tight. …

Our first night in Munich, or München, was spent busing into the city centre and going to the biggest beer hall in Munich, the HB. We got there and it was packed. Thanks to it being a Friday night, and a few days after the end of Oktoberfest, there are so many people in Munich right now. On our second day in Munich we walked around the town and took in the gorgeous architecture. ...

... a place exists in Munich). I set about getting to it. Plan A is to U-bahn to Marienplatz then walk across the bridge to get to the pizza, but walking around by myself in Munich for the first time, and with it now being 8 pm in the evening, I get nervous at the drunk people fast. Plan B is to then S-bahn to a closer stop. I do this but then struggle to figure out which way to walk. I got un-used to walking around large foreign cities by myself pretty fast, though this is also much ...

... I begin to realize I may not make it to Lisbon today or over the next couple of days. I then began to plan what kinds of things I might do in Munich while waiting for a flight. (Always look for the silver lining!) The blonde lady checks my passport and because Krista and I chose our seating for all flights, I had a ticket. Yah, me! We head over to security and I was waiting to receive my obligatory pat down, which I always seem to get, when I am asked to open my ...
