Shhh we are in Austria. The loudest noise is the cuckoo birds (that don't go on the hour by the way). Austrians are so well behaved and well mannered. The drivers are considerate, stop for pedestrians, never speed, pull over if there is not enough room. Unlike the Italian where it is a competition for who has the biggest vehicle or balls! Every square cm is so organized, even men, the men wearing their leather pants and funny little hats are immaculate.
Today we went to the world heritage site Dachstein Salzkammergut. It was really interesting but also disappointing. The day started again gloomy and very wet, we did not start on our adventure until eleven. But we did see the runners involved in the half day Martin run pass our hotel. We stood on our balcony as they went past with an offical telling them to go to the left to continue around the lake. We were told that we could to the cable car from our hotel and ...

The cafe was run but a young family with two small children who were as cute as buttons. We had a coffee then waked ...
... It took me just under 90 minutes to get to the lake. The first thing I did was to look at the bus timetable at the bus stop. To my shock and horror, given today was a Sunday there were only 2 buses for the entire day! - one at 9:50am, which I'd missed, and another at 3:50pm. Lake Altaussee was not a place at which I could spend half a day. It was not as scenic as some of the other lakes I'd visited and it had no shops or cafes to help ...
