... for a walking tour. This is the famous composer Mozart's birthplace so lots of touristy Mozart" nick nacks". The weather was warm / hot with temp 30-31 degrees. Would have been ok if my feet/ ankles weren't throbbing & swelling. Have to find the voltaren before another walking tour tomorrow in Graz. Enough of ailments. Our tour took us through the old town where we met our tour director after lunch who walked (not again) back hotel to check in. ...

After 1 hour of following his Austrian/German instructions that Adam had understood perfectly, we ended up in the Salzburg University Beerhall and Garden . ... was incredible! I enjoyed a nice meal with Katrin and got to know her parents a lot better. She is an only child and the relationship she has with her parents was nice to witness. Together, all three of them joked and with one another and their strong bond shined through. I felt welcomed and at home with them; you know, some say that Austrian’s are the nicest people in the world!

Katrin and I went to a microtheater that was just a short walk ...

... surprised that the inside of the Eagle's Nest doesn't really resemble a house anymore. It was a place built for Hitler as a gift for his 50th birthday and he used it as a place to entertain diplomats and show them an amazing view. After the war ended, almost everything was removed from the house and now it is just a big restaurant. There are a few posters up to show the construction of the house and some of the famous people who ...
