    A day off

A travel blog entry by dutchnomad on Jul 26, 2015

... I've also decided today that I'll be taking it easy for a whole week. I'll hitchhike more, stay maybe more nights in one place and overall do everything a little bit slower. I turn quite some pages the rest of the day and drink coffee whenever I feel like it. A proper ...

    Pushing for grevesmuhlen

A travel blog entry by dutchnomad on Jul 25, 2015

... After eight kilometre I am very tired but I've reached Grevesmühlen and there are at least five supermarkets here. I see a beautiful spot to put up camp. I get my groceries and head back to that spot. It's in a forest next to a beautiful lake. I won't be out of sight but at the same time, I'll be in nobody's way. I decide to find a supermarket, buy some comfort food and call it a day. When I'm in the supermarket, I get a real graving for say sausages, Germans tend to be quite good at ...

I wake up to a beautiful, warm sunshine. I have a slow morning. I want to go to the library to work some more on digitalising my diary and the library doesn't open until 10am. I make some porridge, then it hits me; I need cinnamon. I've been eating porridge for a couple of days now. I don't really like the taste of porridge. Normally I add honey and cinnamon to make it taste better. It took me a couple of days to ...

A trip with a tour guide

A travel blog entry by dutchnomad on Jul 20, 2015

... Now I need that Internet connection and that's surprisingly hard in Germany. I end up asking in a restaurant and they only agree to give me the code if I eat something. Okay, fine, I order a pizza and activate my iPhone. Yeah, I can access the internet again. The phone needs to be updated, I'll do that tomorrow. It's getting late and I need to find a place to sleep. I head to the west canal in the centre. Circus Roncalli is in town. I see just a ...
