... of our on the road travels, it's not very cultured I admit, but the girls eat everything we have to pay for there and it's cheap as pomme frites - so I can cope with a few visits over these weeks & months. Eating out with the girls is generally not the most relaxing of experiences - usually we have to set Cece up with some Scooby Doo on the iPhone to stop her wandering off and the girls snipe (as they're hungry) and P & I spend too much time ...

... finally reached the other in-operation chairlift, and finally found somewhere we could have lunch. It was more of a proper alpine restaurant rather than a quaint hut, but we were just happy to have some food. I had spinach ravioli, and Jess had a platter of various sliced meats, cheeses and bread. ... the sheer volume of people and we just felt like we were doing it because that's what tourists are "meant" to do - so we bailed and went to the Vittoria restaurant for lunch instead. It was superb, the pasta was fresh, Jess said it was one of the best pizzas she's had in Italy, it was extremely good value (for Venice), and the front cover of the menu tells the story of who started the restaurant, his children, their children, who the current owner is and so on. It was all very ...

Just beautiful

Some of the most breathtaking scenery we have seen ever !!!! We drove along the valley floor looking at what we thought we're some special views, until we started climbing up to Grossglockner and were amazed at the scenery. We reached a height of 2500m, with snow capped mountains surrounding us. Wearing shorts and thongs on a beautiful clear and sunny day in the snowy peaks seemed so decadent.Obviously most of ...
