... food was more expensive here. We went to a Tapas bar that was amazing. But it's not overly expensive. A Turkish meal the next night was cheaper and delicious too. On our last night, we found a nice outdoor beer and wine garden. There were lights in the trees and they were serving hot wine. We met a younger couple on their 2nd date and talked about our travels and his. She looked like she was ready to travel with him.

... to the extermination camps. What is amazing is that they have names unaccounted for, and they have left space to fill in those names once they determine what happened to those children. Yes, they are still looking.

The camp at Terezin was used to fool the Red Cross when they came to inspect the facility. The Nazi's put forth the idea that the camp was a thriving town that allowed Jews to self-govern. They even made a propaganda film using the town, however it was never seen ...

... network of trails called Malerweg which means Painter's Way. In the early parts of the C19, during the Romantic Period, the well to do folk became fond of this rocky, sandstone region. A number of painters (the first were Swiss) and writers came to the area for creative inspiration. Along the tracks, we occasionally came across photos of the original artworks, placed in the position where they painted the scene. The walk took us about 5 hours in all, ...

... ship left for Dresden, arriving during dinner. Joined tonight by two sisters from Washington DC, who had invited us over to stay before we even got to our main course.

After dinner we returned to the lounge for a talk about the floods of 2002 and 2013. The Captain then gave us more information about the ship.
