... good (for a change).

We walked further down into the Old Town to the Altmarkt (Old Market), which is now no longer used as a marketplace, but it is a large square, surrounded by cafes and an old church in one corner. We had burgers for lunch, then it was time for a return to collect our bags and head to the station, back to Prague on our 5pm train.

I then decided I would skip coffee and go busk. I left and got there and played for a little bit, but it wasn't going so hot, so I went and got some (maybe the last?) presents I wanted to pick up, and then I ...

The Controversial WWII bombing

A travel blog entry by jimandi on Aug 01, 2013

... beautifully decorated, amenities galore and a very comfortable bed. The service and friendly staff were outstanding and the breakfast buffet, included in the room price, was delicious. It was a fitting end to an incredible day. After breakfast, we walked around the center city, the site of total destruction after American and British massive bombing toward the end if WWII, in Feb 1945. In spite of Soviet occupation from 1945 to German unification ...
