    ... We then all re-grouped and went for a bit of a walk around Lucerne. We went to the Lion monument which was placed in a stunning park. The lion is a monument to the men fallen in battle that has been carved into the Rock face. The lion has a spear in its back and is lying on its death bed. It is a magical spot. A side story of the statue is that the artist was not paid enough, so to get back at the government, the cave that the lion is dying in is actually in the shape of a pig. ...

    ... getting thrown around.. Checked out the Linnt chocolate shop there too and purchased a couple of chockies. it was surprisingly hot in the sun and I was mostly in a t shirt and shorts! I'm pretty sure I got sunburnt .. Anyway it was a mad day and awesome to meet Bell and Therese who let me hang out for the day. On to Luzurn which was a mission in itself but made it and had the worst pizza ever at a local pizza shop. Another average hostel ...Hopefully make it to Innsbruck ...

    The tour guide and I walked through the next days activities of the walking tour, visiting Mt Pilaltus, how we would pace the tour, gondolas up the mountain, lunch on top then the Cogwheel descent to pick up a boat and cruise on the lake. With a total of 60 passengers we will be handling we wanted to make sure we can keep all together and happy with the movement.

    ... day in Lucerne when we arrived but a communication breakdown did not allow Robert to get all the pictures he was hoping to get. Oh well. Took the bus to Kastenienbaum and then walked along the shoreline to the house.

    ... it was worth it! Mark also got his schnitzel and although it was pork (which he isn't usually a fan of) he really enjoyed it! Sadly, I was more excited that my drink had ice (which I have greatly missed) than anything else, but the fresh mountain cranberries were tasty! It's not every day you can say you travelled to another country just for lunch! (Grand Forks doesn't count! Lol!) Our hotel in Munich is the best we've seen yet and it has great wifi in the lobby! ...
