After trying to find somewhere to stay in Zurich and finding nothing reasonably priced, we opted to stay in Lucerne about an hour away and just do a day trip into Zurich. Lucerne was really nice, we enjoyed our last few days in Europe and managed to do just a bit more walking.Being another smaller town, we were able to walk around most of it in a day - the old town was built on a river along with an old covered ...

... did a bit of shopping and wandering around. We went into one particular shop twice. I tripped walking in and out of this shop each time. (everyone should know by now that Amanda cannot walk!).

We met up with Adrian, our couch host and he is very nice. He has a huge apartment ten minutes from central lucern and has helped us to plan out much of our plans for tomorrow. He also gave us beer.

Plans for tomorrow are a bit hesitant ...

23.7.06 Wynigen It was a very hot day so Sylvie (next door) let us swim in her pool, ahhh, delicious. We were happy to relax and get to know Sue's family under the gazebo. We laughed and talked a lot. Esther speaks very good English and so do the boys, but Des had to work on Hans Reudie a bit. After spending an hour at the parking garage/internet cafe yesterday I still had a lot of time to kill before one of the other recruiters came in around 9:00 PM.
