... villages and admired locals going about their simple lives. Schlogen is to the people of Linz what Rotto is to Perth-ites. It is so picturesque.. So green, so tranquil. ... tour included lunch in a cavernous, dark restaurant. We had fresh trout which we enjoyed, but the wine was very bland.
Cesky Krumlov is my favorite medieval town thus far- indeed, the entire day was a highlight of the tour for me. I think that being over my ailment was a contributing factor to my enjoyment.
I'm actually finishing this blog off on Friday but hope to get today's blog off to you by tomorrow morning.

A day in Regensburg

... by mid afternoon, dressed in typical Bavarian costume. Yesterday, when we were in Regensburg, was Wednesday 13 th May, the day before Ascension Day, which is a public holiday in Germany. I think the young ones were about to visit the beer halls and wine bars, no doubt to celebrate the night away. Good luck to them!

    ... downwards and proved to be very irritating as the day wore on. It was very beautiful following the river. There's lots and lots of trees (pines of some sort) and steepish slopes. The bike path is mostly very flat with just a few smallish inclines. We had 2 small ferry (fahre) crossings for around 1 or 2 euro each. Good income for the local people. Along the way we had a few stops for drinks, ...
