      ... and several indoor pools. The indoor pools are much hotter than the outside pools so I opted to bath just in the outside pools. There was a large crowd and in the pool was a Muslim woman totally covered head to foot. It looked completely out of place with everyone else in bathers. I returned to the hotel via the Metro at 7pm.       Salzburg was a good day. It is the city of The sounds of music! But besides that I found that there was not that much to see in the city so I went up the mountain and skied for the day! There was 5 of us and it was really good! Glad I didn't say down though ...

      ... the hill up to the fortress wasn't enough!) but again, it was worth the walk for the view of the mountains in the backdrop. The hill walk was fairly long, so we were quite happy to make it back to the bottom and go to a wee cafe for a drink, apple strudel and Sacher torte.       ... dangerous – it seems everyone in Slovenia lives on the side of an extremely steep mountain and the roads simply cut through them as if the height and steepness were of no concern.

      After breakfast the next morning, it was off for Scojan Caves, which is in southern Slovenia and on the way to Croatia. It is one of the few caves around the earth on the list of World Heritage sites and was absolutely stunning to see. ...
