You very much feel like you're in a different country - everything is proudly Canadian, all of the shops are completely new entities to me, so ...

    Anyone for Soccer?

A travel blog entry by tholdsworth89 on Aug 10, 2014

... joined us for the very short walk to the BC Place stadium in downtown. The stadium was well-located and had an impressive design, but we entered to find a huge canopy covering the upper half to restrict the capacity for 'soccer' games. The next two hours were just bizarre. A singing section built the words 'Vancouver' and 'Whitecaps' into any song they could think of, groups waved flags of random countries and people of all ages would tamely shout "you fat *******" each time the ...
