    ... Queen was in Joliet and the interesting Illinois & Michigan Canal, built to connect the Great Lakes to the Mississippi River and ultimately to the Gulf of Mexico by joining the Chicago and Illinois Rivers, all provided geocaching opportunities as well as interesting history. A Trader Joe's location nearby topped of a perfect visit!

    ... we went to check out The Bean, the main attraction of which is that you can photograph yourself with the skyline behind you! I needed a much warmer coat than the fashion coat I had on, so shopped at a Macey's sale and bought a down/feather bargain with hood for $127; a pair of leather gloves in Walgreen's were $12. Trusty fish-cat hat on my noggin and I was toasty!

    ... at home. We wined and dined with my cousin Kym and her handsome, charming WYSIWYG husband Neal Hanrahan on that 1st night, which was perfect. Kym and I are exactly the same age had many great times together in our early teens in spite of living 1,000 miles apart.. again thanks to our folks.

    We had the joy of spending the most time with Jessica & Aaron, though ...

    ... problems which probably saved me from destroying my tires I just bought. Plus he did my exhaust free of charge which was awesome!

    And think about it....what is I wasnt 1 block from my house when those U Joints gave out? What si they woman at my bar had not recommended this shop with some mechanice who were Jeep nuts?......i think I got lucky with this one...even if it did take a chunk of my savings
