Patty and I decided to get a bite to eat so we wouldn't have a hungry headache and stopped at Cracker Barrell in Morton - yummy! Get to the Peoria airport and check-in and going through Security is a breeze. I saw Darlene Summers exiting the plane that just came from Vegas - she said she left money behind. We left Peoria 15 minutes late but arrived …

I forgot one thing from yesterday - my luggage had a security tag in it from the Peoria airport so my checked suitcase was inspected. Good thing I put my unmentionables in ziploc bags! Today we started out the day by going to the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign and taking some pictures. They have a small lot where you can park and walk up to the sign. …

Unintentionally we slept in today. With the late start we decided to go to Ellis Island Casino to eat lunch. It's a small local casino and has a cozy feel to it. Our lunches in their restaurant was very good and inexpensive. I had a club sandwich, fries and a drink and it was about $9.00. Patty had the same meal at Harrah's restaurant on Sunday …

Days 4 and 5

May 20th, Wednesday - we went to the pool this morning. There weren't a lot of people so it was nice however the people we did meet and talk to were very nice. We had two banana daquiries and they were good. After a couple of hours we came in. Patty fell asleep after her shower and I couldn't wake her up so left her a note and took off for Casino …

    Great Dealers and customer service

    from anonymous

Recently stayed at Harrah's and had a great time. The rooms in the mardi gra tower were really nice. The dealers (especially in the party pit) were alot of fun and the pit bosses were really nice. Make sure to sit at Rocco's, Coaches and Mike's blackjack tables. :)

    Pleasantly impressed

    from bucks16

Great location. Rooms i nthe south aprt of the bldg were just remodeled(or seemed like it). Big bathrooms. Check in lines were long and slow though. Would stay there again.

Great first experience of "Sin City"

    from anonymous

My first time in Las Vegas couldn't have been better! My older brother had gotten married in August that last weekend and it was just wonderful. Not only was Las Vegas fabolous but Harrah's was just PERFECT! From the buffets to the rooms and the excellent staff! Our family has always liked Harrah's here in St.Louis but after going to Harrah's in Las Vegas I would most definitley recommend everyone to stay or even dine at the delicious buffets they have to offer. Keep up the fine work!

    Skintight at Harrah's (stinkola)

    from anonymous

If you are planning on seeing 'Skintight' at Harra's -- hold on to your wallet. The adult show has some very georgeous, talented women that got a very poor script from a amature choreographer. So much could have been done with this show but so little was. Go down the street and see Midnight Fantasy at Luxor -- much better show! Skintight has a decent and talented MC but must have pulled their comedian off the street (the old fart had old jokes).

    The worst

    from anonymous

I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life at this hotel. After eating dinner at one of the restaurants, I get up from the table and notice that unfortunately, the seat had some clear oil on it that I did not previously see. The back of my pants have oil on it. Obviously upset, we ask for the waiter and the manager. Instead of dealing with this incident as a customer service issue, the manager calls the hotel's police. They come down, embarrass us in front of everyone and treat us like we've done something wrong. Finally we actually get a customer service manager who apologizes. Needing to get my pants cleaned, the manager suggests I take my pants off immediately there in the hotel! Ughh! Thankfully, we finally got my pants cleaned but talk about a hassle!

    Don't take the shuttle!!

    from anonymous

We took Harrah's/Rios shuttle and was in a bus accident. We were on our way to Harrah's and had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for another bus. We were treated very unfairly and was not nearly compensated for out time wasted while we were told we could not leave the bus!!! Harrah's did not care about our safety while we sat in the bus on an unfamiliar street! Once back to the hotel it was hard to get any info. since the shifts had just changed. You would think someone would have been there for us-not at Harrah's!

    Helpfull employees

    from anonymous

I spent 3 days in Harrah's this week unfortunatley on the first day my wallet was stolen from the Ventian casino which I will never visit again due to their lack of security. On the other hand the security in Harrah's namely a young woman named Sheridan was so helpfull and caring when I discovered my wallet and all my important documents and money were missing. Sheridan helped calm me down and got me all the numbers to call to cancel my credit card She is certainly an asset to Harrah's. They are very lucky to have her as an employee. Another employee named Stacy in your total rewards booth is so pleasant and helpfull my husband and I were leaving on Wednesday she made sure we received all our comps before checking out she is the kind of person that every customer service department should have. In closing thank you for a wonderfull and enjoyable stay at Harrah's you can rest assure you will have the CORCORAN'S of Union N.J'S business. Sincerly, Mike and Cathy Corcoran

Great deal in a hot location

    from anonymous

First, let's talk about the location. Harrahs is center-strip, surrounded by the Mirage, Caesars, Flamingo, Imperial Palace and the Venetian. It just doesn't get any better.

But Harrahs is a fine place to stay in its own right. The festive Mardi Gras decor is cheerful (if a bit gaudy). Its rooms are of a good size and the decor is understated, especially when compared to the lobby and casino. Bathrooms are large, particularly in the newer Carnivale tower.

The casino is my favorite place to gamble in Vegas. Its big, bright, lively, always busy and very friendly. The Party Pit area is so much fun, you'll want to learn the tables if you don't know how to play them.

The live entertainment just outside the south entrance and just inside in the tropical lounge add to the fantastic nonstop party atmosphere at Harrahs.

The hotel also has some good restaurants, such as The Range steakhouse and Asia. The buffet is a little better than average, although the waits can big long some time. (You might want to take the hotel's free shuttle over to the Rio for a better buffet.)

Harrah's is a fun place to stay, and at better prices than some of its nearby competitors. And the location just can't be beat.

Not a bad place to stay... center of all the action

    from anonymous

Harrah's isn't a bad place to stay.. its not the best.. nor is it GREAT, but its not bad either. The rooms are standard, w/the themed decor, and not very large. The only real problem w/the hotel room was the shower.. or water pressure and lack there of ... It took 20 minutes to wash the shampoo out of my hair and another 20 to wash the conditioner out of my hair b/c the water pressure was null... it was a trickle of water, not even a steady flow. I asked the fron desk to either move us or fix it, they said they would send a handy man up to fix the shower head and water pressure, when we returned later that night, we still only had a trickle of water...

The pool is nothing special... its just a lap pool, w/an overpriced bar and some misters.

The gambling at Harrah's is fun, they have a fun atmosphere being next to the Imperial palace, and having a bar outside w/great bartenders who make it a fun time..

    Harrah's Hotel in Las Vegas

    from anonymous

I spent the 2nd week of my honeymoon at the Harrahs Hotel in Las Vegas. This hotel was very nice, centrally located (across from Cesars Palace) and value for money. The rooms were nice and clean except the noice via the adjoing room next door. We did say that we were on our honeymoon and wanted a quiet room!! The restaurant was nice but the buffet wasn't my cup of tea. This could be due to the fact that alot of British people are not used to this. I contacted the Hotel directly and got a good price - 7 nights for a double room (king size bed)for the cost of £400 or £57 per night ($86 per night).
