When we went back our washing wasn't dry yet so we put it in for longer and waited around some more. By the time it was done and we headed back we didn't have enough time for skiing so we postponed it for another day. On Saturday we went to the 'Red Bull hangar' because Ben really wanted to go and he wasn't feeling well enough to ski. It was pretty cool, there were planes and cars and a helicopter and even a jetpack. It was pretty ...

Once we went to leave the castle we got a lift down in a small train/ lift which went down the face of the cliff. It was much easier than walking up, but there was not as good a view! We ordered dessert around 3 pm, also delicious (and rich, no need to hold back on chocolate sauce, or custard or cream!). Our taxi driver collected us with a smile, and dropped us back at the Markets around 4:30pm, just dark, for a final shop. The streets in the Old Town ...

... the length of time we spent there or that lunch had somehow been delayed and became dinner. The snow showers became heavier throughout the day so that a walk around the village after dinner with snow falling was another highlight. The morning of Boxing Day was spent packing and watching the locals plough snow and clear the roads after a reasonable snow fall overnight. This made it even more difficult for us to leave this fantastic place. Around 9.30am, we left for Venice, and ...

We arrived in Werfenweng, Austria on the 22nd December. The place was a magic white winter wonderland. It had snowed the day before, so there was ground covering. We found the apartment which is a lovely Austrian house. We went and organised a ski lesson for the kids and got their gear. We went out for a lovely dinner and walked home in -4. The next day, we road the gondola up the mountain for the kids lesson. There was not much snow ...
