... as high as 120F (49c) - yesterday was 107, but today we were lucky and the cloudy unusual conditions remained all day so it didn't get that hot.
Stopped at Hadley for morning break - dried fruit of every kind here.

Leaving here the country flattened out to a sandy desert - lots of wind turbines here and a nuclear power station.

After being bedazzled by A.F.O we dropped off our Vegas car rental to pick up our Palms Springs rental. Gin was in the airport standing in one rental line and looked over to the line next to her. Woke early and strolled down to Pinocchio's in the Desert Eatery. Here you can get all you can drink champagne with every meal (yes including breakfast) for $3.99. All the tables around us had people drinking cocktails or champagne, not for me that early though. I stuck with the breakfast burrito and it was huge. Breakfast over, it is off we go to Desert Hills and Cabazon Premium Outlets, they are actually two outlets located right next door ...
