... half way up a mountain and hard driving rain appears out of nowhere and there is no shelter for ten kilometres. When you are desperate and sweating and your helmet is hanging from your handlebars, open to the skies. That's when it strikes, and with a tenacity that defies physics, becomes irredeemably stuck.

codices which we have seen a very little of in reproductions but
rarely in the flesh. Overall it was a very interesting exhibition.
We stopped for a long lunch at a great
restaurant. Veal, baked and sliced in mouthwatering thick slices and
some more of the Villany wines. The Pinot Noir here is a really
fully flavoured red, completely different from the pale pinots we are

wines in the town. We are in the Villany wine area that seems to
make very good full bodied redincluding some really full bodied pinot noirs. There is an avenue of tasting
booths along with food stalls. A couple of the food stalls were spit
roasting whole pigs which looked and smelt glorious.
