The last few weeks have been really manic while we've prepared to put our furniture into storage and get our property ready for letting. Thankfully, most of the hard work is completed and now we can concentrate on getting ready for our travels. It's difficult to believe that we leave in just under a week!

We fly into Delhi on Monday, arriving very early ...
Peterborough, England, United Kingdom steve-n-miriWell since Amsterdam Josh and I have been staying in county Bedfordshire with my Aunty Sue. She lives in a country house, dated from the 1800's (and has the deeds to prove it!), with her dad - known as Grand dad to all) and her doggies, Molly and Buddy the bulldog.

So Friday we had a glorious sleep in, then headed to Milton Keynes for a couple of hours of retail ...
Lower Shelton, England, United Kingdom bronandjosh09Well today was our last day in Amsterdam

A lovely sleep in this morning - owing part to the stone over from the previous night's events and also due to the grey skies and rain that have plagued us through Amsterdam. Packed all the bits and pieces up, left our bags with the hotel staff and off we wandered to the Heineken Experience Museum......

which wasn't open until 11am (note that for anyone wanting to visit!) - so another wonderful brekkie ...

Cambridge, England, United Kingdom edhardyguide... art( believe me it is an art) of pushing a heavy long pole into the river and trying to steer and slide a boat along the river in romantic Venetian-style. We did it in helpless lady style- the staff being too confusing and heavy to work left our boat vulnerably crashing into others. The point of punting is to admire the historic buildings and educate yourself on the surroundings. Obviously, we did not get the privilege of doing this. At a ...
Cambridge, England, United Kingdom carefreetrip... pretty late and checked into the YHA there. It was fairly nice the room was a little cramped but it didn't really matter. After getting comfy we decided to go on a little bit of a walk to see what was around. It got dark pretty quickly so we didn't see much but from first impressions Cambridge is very beautiful and full of really hot guys and bicycles. Dinner was then cooked, eaten and I wrote on some postcards. I can't wait to see the rest of Cambridge tomorrow! Annie
Cambridge, England, United Kingdom usc_97... She and I did all the touristy stuff together and the 3 of us went punting on the river which was heaps of fun. Future plans: Bill and I are heading down to London in a couple weeks for my birthday to see Phantom of the Opera and go to the Notting Hill festival. Should be fun!
Cambridge, United Kingdom beckandbill... did not want to disturb the students study time. I imagine it must be hard to study here in Cambridge as all the colleges, along with their magnificent buildings and views of the river Cam, have gorgeous greens and private gardens (open to staff and students). My relaxing evening started out with beers back at the Anchor pub. This is a great spot as the ...
Cambridge, United Kingdom flyin_bayman... that were standing at the entrance of the castle-like university structure. Both of the officials were ensuring that only university students were allowed in (May = exam time). I politely waited for the right moment to talk, then asked for tips and phrased my request in such a way that it was pleasant for them to offer advice. They even said, "Wow, if everyone is as polite as you, the place would be much better." I was very flattered. One of the officials then gave Sandra ...
