Nice place to have Delhi Belli in India (great beds)

Nice and safe. They are doing construction in the lobby, so it can be a bit loud at times. Internet is slow. Everything could be cleaner, but it is definitely clean enough. The bed is very comfortable, as are the pillows. You may need to ask a few times for an extra pillow or toilet paper, but all in all, a fine place to stay right in the heart of it all.

      Good place in Delhi!

Good and most important, safe Hotel for people on a budget. Nice for women solo travelers. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Delicious and safe food at the restaurant. Near a huge market in the middle of the action, and steps away from The Railway which is really convenient if you plan to travel India by train. Rooms are really basic but enough for a stay. Internet.....hmmm very poor signal everywhere but sometimes works!! I was in May and would come back but hey!! official pictures do not tell the truth and bathroom does need clean up detail in walls, toilet, trash can, and windows. Furniture was dusty, Bed sheets and towels would definitely come up cleaner after a whitening laundry, and walls need to be painted. bring wour own towel when coming to this and in general to India's budget hotels.

Decent and budget hotel (this is not a hostel or cheap/crummy place), close to New Delhi Railway and many bazaars. Rooms were fairly clean. Beware of spiders and bring flip flips for the showers and extra toilet paper. Overall, would recommend to first-time visitors.

So following on from the crazy taxi ride to the hotel, I arrived at the Hotel Hari Piorko in the Paharganj district of Delhi. It's cheap to stay here so it attracts people from all parts of the world and, in my opinion a better class of interesting person than in 5* hotels.

The hotel reception was bustling and plenty of staff to help. This …

Every blog I have read and every person who I have talked to said that arriving in India is shocking. I was surprised that the most shocking thing that I noticed was the dust and the poor. What is the most shocking to me is the income inequality that can't be ignored (although it seems to be). Poor families living in tent cities across the streets …
