Up early having trouble sleeping but after another English breakfast buffet we drove into Barnsley City Centre and found a Market of over 203 stalls in progress but the weather has changed raining and very cold so we opted to walk around the city centre for a while. After coffee we then drove to Pots Hamper and met up with our friends for typical scones jam and cream and a few good laughs. Lovely cafe ...

It is similar to the club house at home but they have an ...

... long walk home! Spotting a few fireworks here and there, all and all it was a good new year :) Wednesday (1st) we awoke both with slightly sore heads. So today was slow day, mainly spending the day getting ready for our hike and sitting in Mc Donald's using their wifi. We treated ourselves to another movie, the hobbit. Calm before the storm of massive bus trips and 20 days of walking! Tomorrow we our bus leaves at 9pm for an overnight journey to portpatrick ...
