... about getting Hoka's so asked a few people what they thought of their's and tried to remember which ones not to get as I wanted them slip away!

Up from the stream and onto to the Moor I forgot we headed down to the Lyke Wake route before we head up to the Cross. It was great to see John Vernon and Mark Dalton there, poor lads as this would be the last check point too so they would be out for a long time.

... After the tour we had a light lunch at the cafe then drove onto Durham. The A1 was diverted at Berwick on Tweed via the A682 to where it joined the A1 just before Newcastle. Very nice farming areas with lots of hay making and sheep. Found the accommodation but no meals Sunday so had to walk 10 mins to a hotel. Just checked the date of my last post, and can't believe it has been a whole week since I last posted. I have met a wonderful lady called Bridget who is an artist and lives three doors up. Bridget comes down when Pam is at work to feed the fish and give the dogs, Cody and Casey, a run around the garden.
